A bullied kid named Corona was worried over Tom Hanks’ condition after knowing he was sick from coronavirus. The actor replied with the sweetest letter to his young fan.
Tom Hanks and his wife, actress Rita Wilson, were tested positive with coronavirus last month. They were still in Australia at the time and were treated there. Thankfully, they are now free from the virus and were able to return home in US.

Corona De Vries, who resides in Australia, learned of Woody’s (Tom Hanks’ character from Toy Story) state. He wrote a letter wishing the actor well. In his letter, the 8-years-old also shared how he was bullied at school because of his name. He mentioned that although he loves his name, schoolmates were calling him “coronavirus” which made him feel sad and angry.

To everyone’s delight, Hanks replied the kid with a letter and a gift. The Academy Award winner gave Corona a special typewriter with a brand name “Corona”.

“Your letter made my wife and I feel so wonderful! Thank you for being such a good friend – friends make their friends feel good when they are down,” Hanks wrote.
“Even though I was no longer sick, getting your letter made me feel even better. You know, you are the only person I’ve ever known to have the name Corona – like the ring around the sun, a crown,” he continued.
