12 Thousand Baptized In California, Pastor Says: ‘It Felt Like A Book of Acts Page’

A historic event took place in California where 12,000 individuals were baptized in the waters. A pastor attested that “it felt like a book of Acts page.”

A recent report from The 700 Club highlighted a momentous baptismal event that unfolded in California last week. As per the report, an estimated 12,000 people underwent baptism at beaches and church locations across the state. It marked as “the largest baptism in U.S. history.”

The Baptize California movement orchestrated this massive gathering. Over 6,000 individuals immersed into the waters of Huntington Beach. Also, another 6,000 individuals were baptized in various churches across the state.

Testimonies

Pastor Mark Francey, the founder of the movement, shared compelling testimonies from the event with the Christian news outlet. He recounted how even individuals with ties to Satanism embraced Christianity and were baptized in the Name of Jesus. Additionally, he mentioned a heartwarming story of a man proposing to his girlfriend immediately after emerging from the baptismal waters. He also highlighted a family of 17 members who dedicated their lives to Christ.

“It felt like a book of Acts page,” the pastor described.

WHAT IS GOD’S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY?

Additionally, Pastor Mark emphasized that the event did not prioritize any particular denomination. It was focused on the collective body of Christ, uniting believers across various denominations to fulfill God’s mission. Volunteers from diverse churches worked in harmony with fellow believers, answering Jesus’ call to make disciples.

All Christians agree and affirm to what Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Muslim Youth Get Healed Outside Of A Mosque

In a recent post on Twitter, Robby Dawkins share a powerful healing testimony from an encounter he had with three young Muslims. As he prays for the three boys, Dawkins demonstrates what partnering with the Holy Spirit looks like today. He’s even written two books about it – Do What Jesus Did and Do Greater Things.

According to his Instagram profile, Robby Dawkins is passionate about “introducing people to Jesus by living the book of Acts“. Looking to the book of Acts, it begins with Jesus’ instructions, “‘Don’t leave Jerusalem, but wait here until you receive the gift I told you about, the gift the Father has promised. For John baptized you in water, but in a few days from now you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit!” (Acts 1:4-5).

What does it look like to partner with the Holy Spirit

Robby Dawkins has devote his life to teaching others how to experience and partner with the Holy Spirit. He demonstrates how to pray like Jesus did as he prayed for the three Muslim boys. In his post, he starts by praying for a boy who was experiencing level-10 back pain. He prays for the boy and asks him to test his back to see if there was any difference – there was NO MORE PAIN!

What happened next is even more amazing! A second boy’s back was healed! Dawkins leads the first boy to pray for his friend, “Father, in the name of Jesus, I command this back to be healed now. All pain get out by the authority of Christ. Pain go now in Jesus name”. At the completion of the prayer, Dawkins asks the second boy to report any changes to his pain level – there was NO MORE PAIN!

Healing is for today

The Holy Spirit is still working on the earth today! He wants to partner with you and I to do what Jesus did. He wants us to heal the sick, raise the dead, and bring life. Robby Dawkins is a living example of Kingdom life looks like. He is living the book of Acts and we can too!

Be bold like Peter, step out the boat. Pray for the sick…you just might have a testimony to share too!!!

Happy Birthday To The Church

It’s Pentecost Sunday and the birthday of the Church! I don’t know about you but, I like a birthday party. It is a joyous occasion when we celebrate a milestone in a person’s life.

I remember a birthday party I was invited to when I was in the first grade. Judy was a cute little blonde haired girl that was also nice and didn’t cheat at the games we played.

I remember getting the invitation, as many of the other students did. When I arrived at her home I found it a bit mind-boggling. A beautiful brick house in a ritzy part of town. Not anything like the old brick apartment building we lived in.

During the party, there were games, cake, and ice cream and we all had fun. That was many years ago. However, my most memorable birthday party was when I turned 50 and my wife Donna surprised me with a party after church one Sunday. We arrived at the restaurant and there were several of our friends there to greet me. What a joy. We laughed, dined and enjoyed each others company.

Pentecost Sunday

This Sunday is a time of celebration as we gather to hear about Pentecost. After all, this is the celebration of the Holy Spirit descending upon the Apostles and the others gathered. You can read about this account in the Book of Acts 2:1-13.

Pentecost occurs 50 days after Easter and 10 days after the Ascension of Jesus Christ. Pentecost fulfills Jesus’ promise to send the “Counselor” and “Spirit of Truth” in John 16-5-15.

Pentecost launches the large-scale spreading of the Gospel after Jesus’ ascension. Acts 2:41 records that after Peter preached to the crowd after receiving the Holy Spirit, some 3,000 people were baptized and added to the new church.

If the Apostle Peter were here today this might be the message he would preach to all of society in 2019: Acts 2:40 “And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, ‘Be saved from this perverse generation’.”

What does he mean by perverse? One dictionary defines it this way (of a person or their actions) showing a deliberate and obstinate desire to behave in a way that is unreasonable or unacceptable, often in spite of the consequences.

To be sure, we have advanced in technology but not in moral behavior. We are human and once Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s command, humanity has continued to pay for bad behavior. Until we come to a relationship with Jesus Christ we will be the same people doing the same old things the same old way. Christ offers renewal and the Holy Spirit gives us the power to remain committed to Christ.

On this Holy Day of Pentecost let us be cooperative with the Holy Spirit and ask Him to help us to be faithful and reasonable as we journey through this life. Pentecost fulfills Jesus’ promise to send the “Counselor” and “Spirit of Truth” in John 16-5-15. Allow the Spirit of Truth to work within you and allow the great counselor to share wisdom and guidance.

Happy Birthday to the Church! Even if your particular church does not celebrate this wonderful Pentecost Sunday, celebrate anyway.
