A man testified about receiving healing for a back injury and Bell’s palsy after being prayed over.
Back Injury And Bell’s Palsy
In 2013, Charles Lockridge injured his back after falling from a chair that broke. The next day, he started feeling strong discomfort between his shoulder blades. After enduring the discomfort for several months, he sought medical advice. His doctor recommended physical therapy, which provided temporary relief, yet the discomfort soon resurfaced.
“Almost two years later, the pain became more insistent and it was starting to become a regular part of my life again. That’s when I went back to the doctors,” Charles recalled.
He underwent intensive back therapy at a boot camp. Charles found it challenging to carry on with his usual routine and realized that the therapy offered only fleeting relief. However, the following morning, he woke up to discover he had Bell’s palsy.

He couldn’t see out of his left eye.
“If my back’s messed up and this is messed up, and now I can’t even see, what am I gonna do? I can’t work, I couldn’t make any sense out of it,” Charles said.
The doctor mentioned that it would require four to six months for his eye to heal. Charles continued to pray for healing, though at times he felt frustrated. Two months went by, and while watching TV at home one day, he came across The 700 Club program. During the show, Terry began praying for the viewers.
Bell’s Palsy Healed
Terry prayed for healing in the back, and Charles didn’t realize it was for him. However, when Terry prayed for an eye condition, Charles immediately recognized that the prayer was intended for him.
“I started saying, “Thank You, thank you, Lord.” I woke up the next day and my eyes were better. Like just all the way better, as soon as I woke up I noticed it,” Charles said.
Over the following week, Charles noticed another change. He suddenly realized that his back was no longer hurting. After his back pain completely healed, Charles returned to work, and he has been pain-free ever since.
“Sometimes, it takes trusting Him when it doesn’t look like there’s anything happening. Where every indicator is, “No, it’s not gonna work.” And I think sometimes God looks for those situations because then it’s clearly Him,” he concluded.
