A 12-year-old Little Leaguer World Series Athlete suffers severe injury after falling from his bunk bed, and the family is asking for prayers.
What was supposed to be the most exciting moment for the young athlete Easton Oliverson turned into a nightmare. Easton is part of the Utah team called Snow Canyon Little League baseball team. The Utah team was one of the many baseball teams who made their dreams come true as they qualified to participate in the Little League World Series. In an Instagram post, the Miracles For Tank shared how Easton’s team became “the first team from Utah to ever advance to the World Series tournament in Williamsport, PA.” But amidst all of it, the team faced unexpected and heartbreaking news.
Little Leaguer Athlete Suffers Severe Head Injury
The 12-year-old athlete fell from his bunk bed during sleep on Aug. 14. Easton suffered from a severe head injury as a result from the fall. His skull got fractured, and doctors found it hard to stop his bleeding. They also had to insert a “breathing tube and feeding tube” into the young boy.
Following the incident, family and friends rallied on social media, asking people to pray for Easton. They wanted to raise a “prayer army” in contending for the 12-year-old’s life.
And today, in an update, the young boy’s condition finally improved. He also no longer needed a breathing tube.
“The prayers are working! Please keep them coming,” wrote the updated post. “We love you all!”
Then on Wednesday, another update revealed promising improvements as Easton asked for water that morning. Doctors say it was a good sign since “it usually takes a week or two for patient’s to usually have the desire to eat or drink after having gotten their breathing tube out.”
Despite the good news, the family continues to ask for prayers.
“We know that Easton is capable, but with his prayer army behind him – he can be unstoppable!”
Let’s declare life, total recovery, and healing for Easton. God still does wonders!
