A man in Las Vegas rescued several abused boys that had been locked in a cage inside an apartment. He attested that God led him to help these children.
Checking Up Inside A Las Vegas Apartment
In a report covered by 8 News, six children were rescued from an abusive home. It began with suspicion by the police officers “after meeting up with the children’s father Travis Doss and their stepmom Amanda Stamper.”
The Metro officers wanted to check inside the apartment where the couple left their kids alone in an Extended Stay in America. But when they approached the room, the children wouldn’t open the door for the police officers. That’s when the maintenance worker, Keith Archibald, stepped in and tried to convince the kids to unlock the door.
“Little man, listen to my voice,” he told the young boy inside. “Look at me, it’s okay. We’re all friends here.”
Six Children Inside, Two Boys Abused & Locked In Cage
Later, Keith successfully convinced the young boy, and he finally unlocked the door. And what they saw inside shook them. Six children were inside the apartment, two locked in a cage. The two boys were nine and eleven years old, one of them badly beaten.
Authorities, including Keith, rescued the children to freedom.
Soon after, 8 News interviewed the maintenance worker and asked, “what made you feel like they would listen to you?”
“It was God with me on that one,” he replied.
Further, Keith stressed that he had already met the family but never spoke with them. He also remarked that he “was raised to be a man and to do the right thing.” Hence, he doesn’t consider himself a hero.
Now, the children are in good hands, and their father and stepmom will be going to court in the fall.
Let’s pray for the abused children. May they find healing in God after the trauma they have experienced from their very own family.
