A former Satanist believer shared how she encountered Jesus on the day she was baptized.
A Former Satanist Believer
A 21-year-old woman, Gabriela Vences, shared her powerful testimony during the Free Chapel water baptism service. Pastor Jentezen Franklin inquired about her story, and the woman spoke of her dark past as a former Satanist believer and how God redeemed her. Although she was raised in church, she never had an intimate relationship with Jesus; attending church every Sunday was more of a tradition for her.
As life became challenging, she began rebelling against Jesus, blaming Him for everything that occurred. Due to this disconnect, she turned to Satanism for three years, both privately and online, amidst the COVID pandemic.
Feeling lost during that period, she outwardly portrayed happiness and Satanism as the answer, even though deep down, she knew it wasn’t true.
“I had these suicidal thoughts, and I was just so lost,” she recalled.
Later, in 2021, she met a friend who began sharing the Word of Jesus with her. Additionally, her mother also shared her faith with her. As a result, she started attending church, but she later fell back again.

Powerful Testimony
“My heart had a big hole. I was so lost I wanted to fill that hole with partying, drinking, just dating, and it didn’t work,” she mentioned.
Afterward, she met a friend from work who invited her to Free Chapel. It was supposed to be her 21st birthday, and she had planned to go clubbing, but her friend suggested going to church instead. So, she went there, and on her second week of visiting, she dedicated her life to Jesus during an altar call.
Furthermore, she chose to undergo water baptism, and that was when she bravely shared her powerful testimony.
She emphasized, “I just want everybody to know that God is good. Don’t let the enemy get to you. He has done amazing things in my life that I’m just like, ‘wow’. Cause before Him, I thought everything was impossible, but with Him now, I know everything is possible.”
