Christian actress Candace Cameron Bure commends Great American Family Channel for being “unashamed” to share Jesus on cable television.

In her recent social media post, Candace expressed her gratitude towards the production team for their dedication to sharing the Gospel. She thanked Bill Abbott, the president and CEO of GAF, and the rest of the group.

“Massive thank you to @billabbotthc and @gactv for being unashamed to share scripture and the name of Jesus on cable television and for your dedication to faith and family entertainment,” she wrote.

Her excitement comes from receiving two prestigious awards from the Movie Guide. Candace’s film, “A Christmas… Present” earned the Best Family Television Award. It was produced by her own company, Candy Rock Entertainment.

“I’m pretty darn excited for my company @candyrock.entertainment ????????! Our first movie out of the gate, A Christmas…Present and we won Best Family Television from @MovieGuide Awards,” Candace announced.

Also, the outspoken Christian actress was recognized for her act in “A Christmas… Present”. She received the Grace Award for TV Performance.

“This award honors the most inspirational performance that best displays God’s grace toward us as human beings,” she said.

“My heart is full of gratitude and love,” she added.

Great American Family Channel

Candace once said she wanted to “make movies that have depth, purpose, and meaning that can actually change someone’s life.” And GAF channel has given her this great opportunity.

“The biggest theme that is most important to me in this film is the theme of God in our lives and the Christian faith. This is a Christmas movie that actually talks about Christ, and that’s another major theme that I have … never been able to talk about at length in my Christmas films.”

Moreover, GAF CEO Abbott aims for the channel to be “relentlessly family-friendly.”

Christian movies have dominated the awards nomination in the Movieguide Awards 2023. Among the top nominees are the Jesus’ life-based series, “The Chosen,” and the faith-based film, “Running the Bases.”

Movieguide Awards annually awards filmmakers and entertainment productions that present themes honoring families as audiences and spiritually uplifting the viewers. And for its 30th annual awarding, Movieguide has released the lists of nominees for each award.

One of the top nominees is “Running the Bases,” receiving four nominations. It includes Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring Movie, Faith and Freedom Award for Movies, Most Inspirational Independent Film, and Grace Prize for Most Inspiring Performance for Movies (for the actor Brett Varvel).

Also, the other top nominee is the hit series, “The Chosen.” It received three nominations: Best Family Movie (The Chosen Season 3: Episodes 1 & 2), Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring Movie (The Chosen Season 3: Episodes 1 & 2), and Grace Prize for Most Inspiring Performance for TV (for the actor Jonathan Roumie).

Meanwhile, Christian actress Candace Cameron Bure’s “A Christmas… Present” also received three nominations. These are Best Television for Families, Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring TV or Streaming Movie or Program, and Grace Prize for Most Inspiring Performance for TV (for actress Candace Cameron Bure).

In interviews, Candace previously shared that she left Hallmark Channel for Great American Channel to produce more “heartwarming family and faith-filled programming.” Indeed, the Awards Show has recognized her dream.

Moivieguide founder and publisher Ted Baehr believes that viewers still opt for films that promote positivity. He said, “It’s so encouraging to see that families are continuing to vote with their dollars… they’re choosing to watch content that promotes forgiveness, self-sacrifice, teamwork, redemption, and more positive attributes.”

Moreover, Ted feels excited to present the awards in person after the pandemic finally. The awarding will air on February 26 on UPtv. “We are thrilled to celebrate inspirational movies, streaming, and television programs in person this year.”

Hollywood actress Candace Cameron Bure recently entered a new chapter in her life as she joined Great American Family. She is both an actress and a chief content officer in the faith and family-centered TV Network. The “Full House” star will be celebrating this Christmas season by producing films in front and behind the camera.

“It’s been a really, really great transition in terms of things that I’ve been working really hard towards my entire career,” she said. “I’m very happy to be in this position.”

Candace has always been outspoken about her love for Christ and Christmas. According to her previous statements, it is a season where love and kindness are more evident. On December 11, we will be celebrating this season of love with Candace’s original movie “A Christmas… Present.” It will be a film highlighting the presence of God in our lives.
