Mom Of 5-Year-Old Who Was Thrown From A Mall’s Third Floor Highlights Power Of Prayer And Forgiveness

After experiencing the miraculous recovery of her 5-year-old son, who was thrown from a mall’s third floor, mom decided to share her side of the story. She highlights the power of prayer and forgiveness.

Miracle of Landen

In a recent interview, Kari Hoffman recalled to Good Morning America the incident three years ago that changed their lives. She said, “I was frozen in time until I was able to speak, and now is the time that is right in our lives where we’ve done a lotta healing.”

Kari believes that today is the time to move forward with the miracle story of her son, Landen.

On April 12, 2019, Kari and Landen were enjoying their time in the Mall of America. Then, Emmanuel Aranda suddenly snatched Landen and threw him from the balcony of the mall’s third floor.

It happened so fast that Kari could not react in time. “I was just frozen,” she recalled. The little boy landed on the first floor with broken arms and legs.

Prayer and Forgiveness

CBN News reported that witnesses claimed that in the midst of the screaming, they could hear Kari yelling, “just pray!”

“I don’t care who was looking. If they were looking, I asked them to pray,” Kari declared.

They rushed Landen to the hospital and put him inside the emergency brain trauma surgery. Relatives waited as Landen underwent the operation. And they were all there when the doctors came back with the good news of Landen’s condition.

Kari noted that although her son stayed in the hospital for four months, he was discharged just in time for kindergarten.

Today, Kari appeared on national TV and spoke of forgiveness. She has forgiven Emmanuel because “it’s a decision that you have to make so that God can do what he needs to do in your life … and that was to save Landen.”

She added, “Angels caught him. There’s no denying it. Yes, he had injuries, and we had to live through all of this pain to get to the end. But sometimes God allows us to go through things to teach us something.”

Landen is now 8 years old and enjoys playing hockey and celebrating life.

5-year-old Boy Commended For His Bravery By Saving Mom In Coma Through Toy Ambulance

A 5-year-old boy saved his mother’s life when she suddenly fell into a diabetic coma. The quick-thinking boy picked up his toy ambulance and dialed the ‘112’ found on the side of the toy car. He was then connected to a police operator who sent paramedics to rescue his mom.

Josh Chapman was playing with his younger brother in their home in Telford, Shropshire, on July 28. When all of a sudden, Caroline, their mother, collapsed in a coma. Josh spotted the number ‘112’ on the side of his ambulance toy car. Despite never having used a phone before, Josh managed to dial the European emergency number.

A police operator then received his emergency call. “Mommy was playing cars and then her eyes closed,” Josh told them. Thankfully, officers responded quickly and located their property. Paramedics also came to the scene, treating Caroline who had fallen into a diabetic coma.

Caroline recalled, “I had just been playing cars with the boys and I suddenly blacked out. I woke up surrounded by paramedics – and a lot of toys – and they explained to me that Josh had called them and given them our address.”

“So proud of him..”

“I couldn’t quite believe it. He has never used a phone before. He had looked at the number on the side of his toy ambulance and dialled 112. I didn’t even know that number was on there but it worked and I am so proud of him.”

The police were so impressed with Josh’s bravery and even invited them over to their local station. “The police invited us down to our local station and he had a wonderful day sitting in all the cars on Tuesday. They said he was a little hero and I can’t argue with that. We’re incredibly proud of him,” Caroline added.

Police commander Superintendent Jim Baker applauded Josh. “He was very brave and stayed on the line while we were able to get to the family’s home and make sure his mum got medical assistance. Josh has already proved he would make a brilliant police officer in the future,” he said. “Hopefully, we’ll see him again when he’s old enough as a new recruit.”

5-Year-Old Boy Prays For A National Guardsman And Team Amid Derby Protests

A 5-year-old boy was caught praying with a national guardsman in the midst of the Derby Protest in Louisville. The captured moment along with a touching caption is helping people restore their faith in humanity and love.

Kentucky National Guard Specialist Dan Otterson told NBC News that he was almost in tears during the powerful moment. He can’t help but share the memorable interaction he had with the “little angel” on his social media page.

On his Facebook post, he explained why the prayer means so much to him and his fellow soldiers. “Midway through Derby day, we began getting confirmation that multiple protest/counter-protest groups were in the area and heavily armed. Groups began circling Churchill Downs. And at one point my team’s position was face to face with a large group of protestors, heavily armed and not fans of law enforcement,” Dan recalled.

He then noticed “an older black lady who had 3 very small children with her. She hung towards the back, was quiet, not saying anything towards my team or LMPD. [They] waited for the majority of the protestors to thin out.”

After a while, the lady approached the fence line and said that the youngest boy wanted to pray for his team. “When I tell you I’ve never in my 35 years of being alive,” Dan said. “I’ve never seen someone pray with such conviction and such true sincerity. It was amazing. We kneeled down immediately. This evangelist comes out of this little boy. He’s like, ‘Dear Jesus, we know you’re a loving God and a benevolent God. I’m calling on you to put a hedge of protection (for) these individuals around these police officers and make sure they’re safe. We know you’re a loving God.’”

Love and humanity is still alive

“In a world full of aggression and tension this little boy showed that there is still love and compassion. Regardless of skin color, gender, or how you feel about my occupations. While I may never see that little boy again, I know he was sent at that moment to keep us safe.”

He concluded, “God sent a 5-year old boy to strengthen soldiers, and that’s something you can’t ever replicate.”
