4-Year-Old Girl Caught Worshipping Jesus After Having Nightmares

A 4-year-old girl was caught worshipping Jesus when she had trouble sleeping because of nightmares.

Jon Rush, a pastor at Elevation Church, was proud to share about his daughter during his sermon at the North Carolina-based church. He and his wife, Amanda Rose, caught 4-year-old Selah singing in the middle of the night.

When they checked on their camera monitor, they were surprised to see their young daughter live out what she has been learning.

Worshipping Jesus Drives Away Nightmares

Jon shared that they are teaching their children to tell trusted adults whenever she has bad thoughts and, even more so, pray to God. After learning that Selah was having nightmares, Amanda encouraged her to worship Jesus. Indeed, Selah listened to her mother. And one night, she broke out into a spontaneous worship song after waking up from a bad dream.

“No matter what, no matter what | Holy Spirit, just come down,” she sang as she lifted her hand in worship.

Thankfully, the couple recorded the precious moment to remind them of childlike faith.

Jon shared, “Lord, may I keep this pure heart of worship in my own life.”

He added, “There’s something so special about the way a child views Jesus.”

“Love my worshipping, creative Selah girl. She reminds us we can OVERCOMPLICATE connecting with our Heavenly Father. God loves us.”

“The word of the Lord for US today: NO MATTER WHAT, NO MATTER WHAT JESUS LOVES US AND THE POWER AND REALITY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OURS TO HAVE + TO HOLD.”

May we all learn to depend on Jesus just like Selah.

4-Year-Old Girl Shares Powerful Message

Harper Rae is a source of inspiration for people who have been following her Instagram account. Her bright, fun, and wise words bring so much joy to some.

In one of her recent videos, she shared about the Holy Spirit’s joy in the hearts of believers.

“You have the joy in your heart. The joy of God and Jesus in your heart. And you have the Spirit of God and Jesus in your heart. God answers prayers because He loves you more than anything in this world. Even if you’re being naughty, even when you make a mistake, He always forgives you,” she said.

4-Year-Old Girl Said, “Ask God To Help You”

Aside from talking about God’s joy, she also shared about asking for help from God.

“When people love you, it means a lot to God. And when people love everybody in the world, it means a lot to God, too. And if no one really knows what you’re doing, join them into the game if they ask. Because it might be a fun game. And you never know!

“When God loves you, it’s telling the truth. And if you don’t know it in your heart, God knows it in your heart. When you feel a feeling that you don’t like, tell God to help you. Or ask your parents to help you. But God and Jesus will help you the best,” she said.

Verses For Kids

There are many verses in the Bible that talk about how to raise children who have reverence for the Lord, just like Harper Rae. Your children can be an inspiration, too! So, may these verses inspire you to partner with God in raising your child:

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).

“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children” (Isaiah 54:13).

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him” (Psalm 127:3).

“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).

“Discipline your children, and they will give you peace of mind and will make your heart glad” (Proverbs 29:17).
