The Super Bowl LVI MVP awardee, Cooper Kupp, glorifies God with this victory and award by saying, “I don’t feel deserving. God is just so good.”
The outspoken Christian athlete was awarded the Super Bowl MVP after Los Angeles Rams won against the Cincinnati Bengals with a score of 23-20 last Sunday night. Cooper caught eight passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns. His second touchdown was believed to be the winning touchdown with only 1:25 left on the game.
The 28-year-old athlete just completed his fifth NFL season with an MVP award.
“I don’t have any regrets or feel any grudge towards anyone. I’m just thankful for the path that I’ve been on,” Cooper said in a post-game interview.
God Is So Good
When receiving his trophy, the Christian athlete remained humble and continued to give God all the glory for their team’s victory and his award.
“I don’t feel deserving of this. God is just so good,” he declared in front of thousands of viewers and audiences. “I’m so thankful for the guys I get to be around, for the coaches, from my family.”
Cooper said that God gave him a vision three years ago about Ram’s victory and his MVP award.
“In 2019, we walked off the field that last time after losing to the Patriots, I wasn’t able to be a part of that… God revealed to me that we were going to come back. We were going to be a part of a Super Bowl. We were going to win it. And somehow, I was going to walk off the field as the MVP of that game. And I shared that with my wife because I couldn’t tell anyone else obviously what that was,” he said.
God made his vision years ago a reality today! What God has planned and set for you, no one and nothing can ever change that.
The humble athlete then continued to share the award he has received with his teammates.
“They’re team awards. You don’t ever see a successful receiver without all the other 10 guys on the field doing their jobs.”
