How will I know if he or she is the one?
Sam Flores, lead pastor of For Koin Church, was recently asked the most common question Christian singles ask. How will you know if the person you are dating is the one?
“When they love God more than you. If they do not love God, and they don’t have value in God, you have to run from that. Because we’re like stepping into a space within our culture where divorce is just thrown left and right. It’s no big deal anymore, there’s no value and there’s no moral compass. So, women have to raise the bar, unfortunately, of pushing back the apathy of a man,” Sam explained.

Put God first in your life
He continued to remind single men and women to put God first in their lives and seek healing for the wounds in their hearts. We must pursue healing from the wounds of our past so that we don’t carry them into marriage.
“It needs to be God is first in your life, you need to be working through the wounds of maybe some dysfunction in your own life. And then learning to be healthy with people and friends around you.”
It is important not to look to a relationship to save you, you must seek healing from the Lord.
“A lot of people just jump into a relationship because there’s a void that’s missing within their soul. They’re trying to get from this guy or trying to get from this girl what they can only truly get from God. You devalue yourself when you do this.”
