A piece of new scientific evidence supports what many claim to have been the faint image of Jesus in the ancient mystery of “Shroud of Turin” because a new scientific procedure revealed it to have dated “roughly 2,000 years ago.”
The Shroud Of Turin
For many decades, the Shroud of Turin has continued to be a mystery since its discovery. It has captivated the interest of scientists, the public, and Christians. According to CBN News, “the linen is viewed by some as the burial Shroud of Jesus Christ and others as a medieval forgery.”
The linen Shroud of Turin is an ancient artifact discovered hundreds of years ago. The linen bore an image of what seemed like a man. Its initial scientific procedure, Rorschach’s test of damage, revealed that the artifact existed for “hundreds if not thousands of years.”
Faint Image Of Christ In Fabric
Since its discovery, its origin has sparked a debate among people until today. Some claim that the linen’s image reveals “the faint image of a tortured and crucified man.”
The Museum of the Bible exhibit curator Brian Hyland told CBN News, “It seems so peaceful in comparison to the violence that you see all over the rest of the body.”
However, he also stressed that many questioned the artifact image’s authenticity “since its first documented appearance in the late 14th century.”
Further, scientists conducted carbon testing in 1988 that dated the ancient artifact “back to medieval times.” Nevertheless, various experts continue to probe its accuracy.
New Scientific Evidence
Today, a recent Italian study shed light on the claims of the image of Christ because of the result of a new scientific procedure. According to the report, the fabric of the Shroud of Turin dates “roughly 2,000 years ago.”
Apparently, they studied the “pollen plucked from the Shroud with a scientific tape dispenser.” And results revealed that the fabric had journeyed “thousands of miles from Jerusalem, through modern-day Turkey, France, and now Italy.”
Although the new study greatly supports the claims involving Christ, the debate among men experts continue. The Shroud of Turin continues to be a mystery to many.
But beyond all the facts stated above, nothing compares to the truth that Jesus is so real and alive today. He has appeared to many for generations since His resurrection 2,000 years ago. He continues to change lives with power and might. And that is the very authentic evidence one couldn’t deny. Jesus is alive!
