Guard your heart. It’s one of the most popular verses in the Bible but people rarely apply it in their lives. Now, what does this mean?
Guard Your Heart
Proverbs 4:23 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Guarding your heart does not just apply to the romantic aspect of your life. It applies to all areas of your life.

In a world where unrighteousness is becoming a normal thing, it’s very important that as God’s children, we know how to guard our hearts. Every day is a battle between making choices according to God’s will or otherwise. Because if our hearts are not filled with the things of God, the distorted wisdom of the world could easily penetrate us. As a result, unbeknownst to us, we are already drifting away from the center of His will in our lives. And it will become evident from the fruits of our life-like character, integrity, and even our spiritual growth.
Do Not Conform To The World
In Romans 12:2 Paul said, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
In this text, Paul gave us wisdom on how to guard our lives against things that are not pleasing to God. And that is by renewing our minds every day through the Word of God. If your heart is in right standing with God, then everything that flows from your life will overflow with good things, righteousness, and everything that is God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will. If it does not, then comes pride, arrogance, self-righteousness, and wrong decisions.
So dear relentless woman, learn to guard your heart well. Make sure that every day you allow God to cleanse and realign you to His perfect will. And you can never go wrong being at the center of His will. It’s the most powerful place to be.
