Craig Groeschel urges single Christians to ask themselves this important question before they get married.

The pastor of Life Church has an important message for single men and women about our true purpose here on earth. We all have our God-given purpose here on earth.
A marriage is a covenant that you and your spouse would serve the Lord together as you grow old together. Pastor Craig urged single men and women to ask themselves if they and the person they want to marry could serve God together better than being just single.
“You’re walking towards Jesus and you find someone that’s cute. So you walked towards Jesus a little bit closer to the person. And you start to get to know them and when you find that they’re secure in Christ, and you find that they have great character, and they’re planted in the community. And you like them and you enjoy them, and you’re attracted to them. You ask yourself, ‘Could we serve Jesus better together than we could apart?'”

Marriage
Pastor Craig emphasized that our main purpose here on earth is not to be married by to live a life devoted to Jesus. Marriage is not the main goal of our life.
“When you recognize you can, you grab their hand and walk to the aisle, and you walk past the aisle and you keep walking to Jesus. Your verse becomes this, ‘Glorify the Lord with me together. Let us exalt His name together.’ And that’s when you get married. Because our purpose isn’t to be married, our purpose is to be wholly devoted to Jesus.
God designed marriages to bring glory to His name.
