A prisoner serving a life sentence has dedicated his life to being a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Only Jesus can take a lost situation and turn it for good!”
Prisoner serving a life sentence
God Behind Bars Ministry shares the testimony of one of their ministry leaders, Scott. Scott has been in prison since he was 18 years old. Now serving a life sentence, he is 68 years old today.
“Scott is serving a life sentence and most likely will never get out of prison,” the prison ministry shared. “Thirty years ago, he became a Christian behind bars and has now dedicated his life to spreading the hope and forgiveness of Jesus to those in prison.”

Many thought that inmates would waste their lives away inside prison cells. But God had different plans for Scott. He can make all things work together for the good of those who love Him.
Instead of falling to pieces, Scott is being promoted to pastor and a revivalist.
“He [Scott] graduated from seminary, he has become a pastor, and now he is teaching 20 inmates in seminary! He is a God Behind Bars leader and has helped us grow our church to over 200 inmates weekly! Only Jesus can take a lost situation and turn it for good!”
Scott shared, “I’ve been raised in prison, basically. Grown up with the blows of prison. And none of that was edifying in any way until I came to know Christ.”
He added, “Jesus didn’t come to condemn us; He came to save us, as John 3:17 says. And from that, it gives me confidence in knowing that every man here has value, has a gift—they just need to be opened up. They need to be hugged, received, and listened to. And we’re seeing that every day here.”
