“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” -2 Corinthians 3:17-18

After receiving Jesus and the Holy Spirit into our lives, God continues to transform us so that our lives will reflect His glory. That’s how powerful the Holy Spirit is. Not only will He grant us freedom from our sins and from the darkness, but he can also change our lives in a way that is pleasing to Him.
Christian actress Priscilla Shirer talked about the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives during her recent message. She herself has experienced that kind of transformation in her life.
“The good thing about the Holy Spirit, I’ve seen it proof for myself, is that He has a way to make you want to do the stuff you don’t want to do. He doesn’t just free you, he changes your want to. He can make you want to do right and then He can give you the power so that you can do right.”

It’s a power that would help us do what is right and pleasing in the eyes of God. It’s a power that can soften our hardened hearts. That’s what the Holy Spirit can do in our lives if we would just let Him in.
“If you refuse to forgive, He can make you able. If you’ve been comfortable in your bitterness, He can help you soften that place in your heart so that you can be healthy and whole and free in Jesus’ name.”
