Contemporary Christian artists Phil Wickham sang ‘Away In A Manger (Forever Amen),’ and it’s moving thousands this Christmas season!
Away In A Manger
Phil Wickham shared the new version of his song on Dec. 18 with the music video recorded in the set of ‘The Chosen.’ The 36-year-old titled his rendition ‘Away In A Manger (Forever Amen)’ on his Christmas album.
Its lyric tells of Jesus’ birth on earth:
Away in a manger no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head
The stars in the sky look down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay
The cattle are lowing the baby awakes
The dawn of salvation beginning to break
I love Thee Lord Jesus oh gift from above
The King of the heavens forever with us
Then in the chorus, it tells of Jesus worshiped as Lord and Savior who came to earth to save us from our sins. It goes:
I worship You Jesus for all of my days
The highest of praises be unto Your name
My God and my Savior my King and my Friend
Yours is the glory forever amen
