Impact Video Ministries, a social media Christian ministry, discusseda common question: “What happens to people who have never about Jesus and the Gospel?”
No one really has the absolute answer. But there are some truths in the Bible that could help us gain insight. Impact Video Ministries shared some of their thoughts regarding this matter.
Thought #1: “All people are given revelation about God and will be responsible for that knowledge.”
In Romans 1:20, Paul wrote about how God’s eternal power and divine nature can be seen through His creations. He has shown everyone who He is through His majestic creation.

“I assume here that at some point in every person’s life, there is a hidden conversation that God has with them, regarding Him and His existence. And this conversation would probably be God telling them that all of these couldn’t have come from nothing.”
Each one of us also has a conscience or a law written in our hearts that reveals the truth about God. Everyone has a chance to know God in many ways despite not hearing about the Gospel.
Thought #2: Some people had incomplete knowledge, but were still saved.
Referencing Matthew 13:16-17, we can know that people in the past were still saved despite their incomplete knowledge of Jesus Christ. As long as they have faith in God and live a righteous life, they have the right to enter heaven.

Thought #3: People can never be sure of people’s eternal future.
“When it comes to this topic of finding out if someone who never heard of Jesus goes to heaven or hell, the truth is that a person’s eternal destination is God’s business. God is the judge so He decides where people go.”
God is the God of justice and only He can only be certain about our future. Whatever belief we may have about this topic, only God knows where we are spending our eternal life.
Thought #4: Whatever God decides will be completely fair.
After God judges everyone on judgment day, we can see how God handled everything perfectly and how God judged us perfectly. God’s ways are always perfect and in Him, there’s no injustice. No matter how God judges those who haven’t heard about the Gospel, we will all look in amazement as we witness His perfect judgment.
“Why? Because there’s no injustice or any imperfection in all that God does and that’s something we can all rest in.”
