A woman who had a challenging past and was going through so much pain testified about God’s healing after baptism.
Healing After Baptism
A woman who was water-baptized shared a beautiful testimony of God’s powerful healing and restoration. She started by sharing a brief history of her life. She was 18 when she was called to do the Lord’s work. At that time, she found herself unworthy of being used by God. Even though she was engaged, she was doing things that didn’t please the Lord. Nevertheless, she went through the Ministerial Affirmation program with her ex-husband, who happened to be abusive.
She also experienced pain from her previous church, which made her question her faith as a Christian. Since then, she has started seeking signs and searching for different religions. She ended up in Islam and for 12 years, she has lived as a Muslim. She has two children who were all raised in Islamic School until they were grade 7 and 4. Eventually, she left their father in 2014 by escaping their home.
“I already went to shelters and got help so that we could move out while he was gone,” she recalled.
Seeking God
In 2014, she started searching for her identity. She knew that she believed in God; she just didn’t know how to get to Him. That was the moment when she asked God to guide her and send her to someone who would be there for her. On October 25, 2015, she rededicated her life back to Jesus. After that, she felt like a veil had been lifted off her eyes.

God Healed Her
On April 27, she got baptized with her husband. When she got into the water, she thought that it would be cold, but she felt warm. She didn’t anticipate coming out there healed. She had fibromyalgia, degenerative disk disease, and arthritis and had a lot of pain. However, two days after coming out of the water, she had no pain, and she believed that God completely healed her.
Finally, she testified, “Through my obedience. Through the obedience of Kayla [the person who baptized her], doing what the Lord has called her to do, and being the vessel. He’s starting to heal me and many others. The fear that I had is gone. The grief that I had is mending. My body is healing. That’s what the water did for me.” Then, she encouraged those who didn’t know Christ to come and seek Him. She also urged those who already knew Him to go to the water and get baptized.
