Over 20,000 people joined the Asbury revival over the weekend since the non-stop worship and prayer started on February 8. And one attendee exclaimed, “God is calling back His people to intimacy and first love with Him.”

But notice how the world is calling it “revival” even they know that’s what we should call it! ????#asburyrevival ???? #asburyawakening pic.twitter.com/J3h6167mM2

Greg also shared about God’s heart for revival. He remarked, “God is calling back his people to intimacy and first love with Him. ”
He also stressed that now is the “opportunity for people who are away from the Lord” to experience Jesus again intimately.
“If they would just cry out [and] experience that personal revival, His presence,” he said.
Further, he gave insight about what he believed caused revival to spark. First, he explained, “America, Canada and the Western” have “spurned God” and have not fought evil with “prayer and with the love of God.”
“We’ve allowed these things to happen – and the world has infiltrated the church faster than the church is infiltrating the world.”
Hence, Greg believes that God “sent this love awakening—a gentle, sweet presence of God” to His people.
“And I believe it could be a relief before what is coming,” he added. “In history, you see it many times [that] revival came before calamity or revival came after calamity, World Wars, or major events. And I think this is a mercy time for us to press in and to experience as much of God, of this, as we can because it’s for our strengthening. … And it will help the Christians to be strong in the Lord, to minister to other people in a time of calamity.”
Secondly, Greg pointed out that “God wants to revive His people.”
“Prayer should be something you want to do – not that you have to,” he remarked. “Worship is something you get to do. It just changes everything when you have that first love with Jesus. It’s not about personalities, not about celebrities, famous bands or preachers, or a college.”
“It’s about Jesus.”
“Lord, let the fire of your Spirit fall like latter rain.”
Don’t be a spectator, God change me!
God is doing “A deep work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and lives to prepare us for what is ahead.”#asburyrevival ???? #asburyawakening pic.twitter.com/A1wE3G5Ol6
