A North Carolina pastor was welcomed home by his friends and family after recovering from his 80-day, near-death battle with coronavirus.

Bishop Rory Cecil Baker, Sr. is the senior pastor at the Fruit of the Spirit Ministries International Incorporated of Greensboro, North Carolina. He was recently hailed as a walking miracle after winning the victory against the deadly virus that has affected over 11 million individuals worldwide.
In April of 2020, after experiencing some symptoms of COVID-19, Bishop Rory was admitted to the hospital. The 54-years-old church leader fought for his life for 80 days in isolation from his family until he recently received a miracle.
Recovery
On June 30, family and friends celebrated his recovery and welcomed him home. While being transported, drivers honked and people cheered for the bishop.
“We are celebrating our bishop who survived COVID-19, we are celebrating this in his honor. We are congratulating him and thanking God for his return home … Look at all the support … Our bishop is loved,” they said during the church’s Facebook Livestream.
After almost 3 months of prayer for the pastor’s recovery, he was able to overcome the deadly virus.
“I couldn’t do nothing, but praise God because I knew he had just answered our prayers because the doctors only gave him 10% to live, but God said, ‘No, I got 90 to add on,’” said Betty Baker, the bishop’s mom.
“Never take a day for granted”
After his near-death experience, he has a short yet powerful message to people.
“I love them. I love them, and I tell people this, never take a day for granted,” said Bishop Rory.
