Marrying A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing
One of Kris Reece’s biggest dreams was to be married to a Godly man who would become her partner in building a life around Christ. At first, she thought she found the right one. But her dreams turned into a nightmare when she discovered that the man she thought loved the Lord was a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Kris found something strange with her husband six days after their honeymoon. Then one day, she discovered the high cable bill with “one pornographic movie after another.” What’s even worse, her husband said it was her fault for not satisfying him.
Despite all the red flags, Kris stayed in the marriage. For one reason, she wanted to win her husband over to Christ again. She believed her unconditional love would change him. Eventually her husband told her, “You know that whole church thing we’ve been doing? That’s not going to work for me. You can go. I just don’t think it’s for me anymore.”
At that point, Kris knew her husband had utterly fooled her. Before they married, he led her to think he had come to Christ and also wanted a Christian marriage.
Narcissistic Husband
Moreover, the husband couldn’t keep his word to Kris. Three years after telling Kris they would try having a baby, he denied ever saying it.
Kris found herself scammed by her narcissistic husband. Her dreams crumbled because Christ was never the center of their marriage. That’s when she asked God to help her get out because it was destroying her.
She asked for help and went through counseling. And even though it was hard, she trusted God amidst everything. She decided to let go of the marriage and quit trying to think she could still change her husband.
“Am I going to keep doing things my way? Or Am I going to follow Him?” Kris wrestled at that moment.
But the moment she let go and trusted God, He delivered her!
