Demi Tebow shared where she places her worth and identity after a humbling moment in life. She said a crown does not define her but who God says she is.
Demi Tebow On Trusting God
In an Instagram post, Demi-Leigh Tebow shared some words of wisdom with her followers. She posted a photo with a quote and a short clip sharing the lesson she learned from a humbling experience.
The former Miss Universe admitted her lapses in trusting God sometimes. She revealed how she was more focused on her plans than God’s. That’s why when it didn’t happen the way she planned it, she came to a grounding and humbling moment. And this was her message to her followers: to “trust God’s plan for our lives, even when it doesn’t match up with our own plans.”
“There have been times in my life where I have been focused on my plan and what I wanted to achieve,” she wrote. “Rather than trusting in God’s plan for my life.”
In the short clip, Demi also revealed, “I probably did not rely as much on the plan and the purpose that I believe my Creator had for my life.”
Not Defined By A Crown
But a remarkable experience humbled the beauty queen, where she learned to rely on God even more. At that moment, she told God, “You know what God I am absolutely nothing without You. And I’m not defined by a role, by a title, by a job, by a degree, by a piece of clothing that I wear. I’m not defined by a crown. I am defined by who You say I am. And You say I am valued, and I am loved, and I am cherished. And I’m a princess because I am Yours.”
Today, Demi wants to share the message with everyone to encourage people not to place their identity on anything outside of God.
