A former child actress made the decision to leave the entertainment industry in order to follow Jesus Christ.

Mariko Dela Cruz, popularly known as “Mika,” has always been in the spotlight as a Filipino child actress. While everyone assumed she had an easy life, she experienced a constant search for her identity as she grew up. The loss of her father to COVID four years ago brought immense suffering into her life.

She even received a diagnosis of serious health issues, including an autoimmune disease. Due to the numerous trials she had faced, she developed a strong resentment towards God. However, despite her feelings, God relentlessly pursued her, never ceasing His pursuit for over 10 years.
“God is so merciful, He is. He never grew tired of pursuing me even though I was so stubborn and my heart was as hard as a rock… Just two months ago, God used a person very dear to my heart to show me firsthand the powerful healing and transformation only Jesus Christ can bring into a person’s life.”
Entertainment Industry
Today, there is immense joy as she publicly announces her decision to follow Jesus Christ. The video of her baptism quickly went viral, bringing happiness to all who witnessed it. While she had to leave the entertainment industry behind, she is filled with joy at having found Jesus Christ.
“The moment I turned my face to Him, He immediately revealed Himself to me. He won’t hide from you, He won’t leave you alone while you’re still healing from all the pain. I can confidently say that I have finally found my rest and all along, it was in Him, my Savior Jesus Christ. No more doing life alone and in pain.”
