A Michigan man filled-up gas tanks for nurses that work at a nearby hospital using his own savings.

Allen Marshall has been saving money for a knife-sharpening tool however, he ended up using the money for something else. He used all his savings for something more valuable.
When the coronavirus outbreak aroused, it was the medical workers who were placed on the front lines of this battle. They are the ones who are sacrificing to save lives and help contain the pandemic. In return, this Michigan man wanted to do something for them to express his gratitude.
Free gas for nurses
Earlier this month, Allen stood on the corner of the Exxon gas station near the Detroit Medical Center while holding a sign. The sign reads “Free Gas for Nurses”.
Allen was able to fill the tanks of at least 50 vehicles of the medical workers of the nearby hospital. He spent all $900 he had saved up. It caught a woman’s attention and she contributed another $200 for the cause.
“I just love them and I want them to know that,” Allen said in an interview.
“Thank You for All You Do!”
After emptying all his funds, he then continued to stand at the intersection with a new sign. The new sign read, “Thank You for All You Do!” He wanted all the medical workers fighting the COVID-19 to know how thankful he is for all their work.
Allen came up with the idea to do something good for them after he dropped his wife off her shift one day. He then shared that his wife is a frontline worker at the Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Allen saw the medical staff’s hard work and how they risk their lives for the safety of the community. They deserve to be loved and thanked for their sacrifices.
