On Saturday morning, Hamas, the Palestinian militant group, launched missiles at Israel. While bombs were exploding, the Hamas entered the country by land and by water and subdued the cities along the Gaza-Israel border. On Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war against Hamas to protect the people of Israel.
As of today, over 1,500 people have died and over 6,000 were reported injured. Buildings and infrastructures have been damaged and around 150 innocent people have been taken captive by Hamas. They are now inside Gaza and the Israeli government is doing their best to push them back across the border.

Among those who have lost their lives in the conflict is David Ratner, a messianic Jewish soldier in the Israeli Defense Forces. He was killed while fighting the militants who were infiltrating a base in the south. David gave his life to protect his country.
His church, the Beit Hallel congregation in Ashdod revealed the news of his passing on their social media accounts. David is an active member of the church and his parents are pastors of the said church. The Beit Hallel congregation is honoring this brave young boy’s life.
“David Ratner, son of Haim and Miriam Ratner, leaders at Beit Hallel Ashdod Congregation, was killed. David was a soldier in the IDF and was killed in battle. He gave his life defending his country. We are heartbroken. May his memory be a blessing.”
As of today, Israel has reported that they have secured the Gaza border on the fourth day since the conflict started. Let us pray for everyone affected by this war and let us pray for this war to end.
