Alwyn Uys shared a testimony about a divine protection when he was in an accident that almost lost his life.
Powerful Testimony Of Divine Protection
Alwyn Uys from South Africa always dreamt of becoming a professional rugby player.
He was so passionate about it that even when he was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at the age of 21, he didn’t give up. And by the grace of God, he was completely healed from the said diagnosis.
However, when he turned 24, he was in an accident that nearly cost him his life. It changed his life forever.
“I was on my way to my girlfriend at the time. Now she lives fairly close to where I am, about 60 miles from my house, and this is a road that I have driven so many times. I mean hundreds of times, visiting her on weekends or during the week, or that I had to go pick her up for things. So this is a road that I know so well,” he said.
The Accident
He heard a sound, that the wheels were catching the gravel next to the road. The noise caught his attention. But then, he started hearing the tires screeching and he thought it was someone else.
“Little did I know that it was actually my motor vehicle that was out of control, that the tires were screeching from my car, that I plucked the steering wheel a little bit too hard,” he said.

Alwyn went down the ditch and the car started rolling. Then he realized that the car was busy flipping head over toe.
He fell out the window with his head breaking the glass, it knocked him unconscious. But about 20 minutes later, he woke up next to the side of the car, which was about 60 yards into a field.
“When I woke up, a man stood above me,” Alwyn recalled.
Divine Protection From An Angel
He introduced himself as Hosea and he said, “Alwyn, you have to lay still. You hurt your back really bad.”
The first thought that went through Alwyn’s mind was, “How does he know my name? And how does he know that I hurt my back?”
“I felt pins and needles throughout my whole body, even my legs. I felt the cold gripping me, but I didn’t have any pain, which was very odd. Because while that man was with me, I had zero pain. And also I was completely at peace in that moment, against all odds. Against all the circumstances, I was at peace at that moment,” Alwyn recalled.
The man named Hosea called Alwyn’s loved ones, and even the ambulance. But when he arrived at the hospital, Hosea was nowhere to be found.
Powerful Testimony Of Divine Protection From An Angel
Alwyn had no idea how Hosea found his phone and unlocked it, and who to call at that moment. “And I remember I was laying in that ambulance, looking up at the ceiling, feeling life literally being drained from my body. The last thing that I remember is calling out to God saying, “Lord, if you will save me today, I will give my life to you.” And I blacked out, and I only woke up the next day in hospital,” he said.
When he was in rehabilitation for three months, he couldn’t help but think of the man who saved him.
Then he felt the Holy Spirit say, “Go and have a look. What does Hosea mean by a simple Google search?” He went on Google and found that Hosea means he saves and he helps.
Right there and then, he was sure that God sent Hosea to save his life.
