Worship leader Kalley Heiligenthal shares what it means to live a resurrected life in Jesus, which is a glorious way of life. “I wanna be a church that’s alive to the call and to the mission of what Jesus did, resurrected here on earth to see His kingdom come,” she said.
To live in a resurrected life
Kalley appeared in an episode of TBN’s Better Together. She talked about the glorious life of a church that knows its identity and inheritance in Jesus.
But first, she recognized the sad reality of Christians’ ignorance of the power and authority they have in Jesus.
She said, “I don’t wanna be a believer that sits and has a whole unclaimed inheritance in my name, just cause I don’t know what to do with it.”
Kalley believes that Christians are called to discover what they have in Christ.
“It is our calling to know what do we have in Jesus and what we do with it to the glory of God.”
So, the worship artist expressed her passion for answering the call. She said, “I wanna spend every day I have here in this life until that whole life begins.”
“Figuring out what is in my name because of what Jesus did,” she continued. “What’s my inheritance and how do I use it wisely while I’m here. I don’t wanna be a disempowered church. There’s no reason to.”
Moreover, Kalley encouraged fellow Christians to live up to the image of Christ. She also discussed the significance of Jesus’ death and resurrection for believers.
“If we serve a glorious, victorious King Jesus, we get to look the same way. Why we died to the old ways and we’re alive so for us to live the resurrected life. It means we get to lay the old man in the grave, dead and gone, in the name of Jesus. But we don’t stop there, we pick up everything that He’s done – the newness, the ministry of reconciliation, healing for all disease, forgiveness, health for the sick, freedom. That is ours.”
