Kim Caputo shared her testimony about how God healed her even after she said, “I didn’t want to do anything with Him.”

When Kim was younger, she experienced being bullied by her classmates. And it made her feel that there was something wrong with her.
“From a very young age, there was always something different about me, and I always just felt out. Like I didn’t belong. Growing up in Catholic school, I was bullied while simultaneously being taught that God was someone who loved me and cared for me. And I just didn’t have that experience. And so I thought that if that was who God was, then I didn’t want to do anything with him,” she said.
Because of her experiences, her heart was hardened.
But that changed when God healed her.
Kim Caputo Shares How God Healed Her
“When I was a junior in high school, I randomly just woke up one day with bruises all over my body and red dots covering my skin. And my mom was like, “We need to go and get this checked out. This is not normal,”” she recalled.
She went and got a blood test, and the doctors told her that she needed to go to the hospital immediately because her platelet count was abnormally low.

“Not really knowing what was going on, thinking that this is going to be a quick fix, I would just get medicine and I would be on my way the next day. And it wasn’t just the case. About two weeks after being in the hospital, I got diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, called ITP. It’s basically where your body develops an antigen that kills and attacks your platelet,” she said.
Completely Healed
The doctors told her that the next step would be chemotherapy. Hearing that word as a 17-year-old was traumatizing for Kim.
Making and writing music was what kept Kim sane during endless therapy sessions. And in 2015, she was granted a “Make a Wish” and officially went into remission.
“And I’ve been in remission for the past 8 years, praise God,” she said.
During that time, too, her father prayed hard for her.
“He prayed, “If you heal my daughter, I will never miss a Sunday service again.” And God healed me, and my dad has never missed a Sunday service to this day.
“It took me this long, even now, to realize that God really did heal me. And God answered that prayer,” she concluded.
