Karrie Garcia gave a profound definition of the word trauma and shared a revelation about how God wanted to offer healing over it.

Speaker, life coach, and author Karrie Garcia shared a wonderful reminder to those dealing with traumas in life. She defined trauma as those moments when people experience powerlessness within their bodies. It happens when they don’t feel like they have a say. She believed that God wanted His people to heal, especially in places where they felt stuck.
Then, she explained, “When we had an event happened to us. And we are not offered comfort and care to that traumatic event, it gets stuck. Dictating how we love, and how we lead.” However, she pointed out that God wanted to offer a pathway so that people would not live through the grid of their embedded traumas.

Healing Over Trauma
Furthermore, she shared a scripture that would guide people to overcome their traumas. In Matthew 5: 4, it was written, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” She then emphasized that people often desire blessings, but the pathway to those blessings is through mourning. “Mourning is not a sign of weakness, it’s a necessary step towards healing,” she stated.
Moreover, she emphasized the promise of God to His children after they mourned. According to her, God would say, “When you mourn, when you bring these stories to a safe place where they can be processed and cared for. I will offer comfort. And that comfort is going to heal your mind, and your body, and blessing is going to come.”
Lastly, she added in her Instagram post caption that blessing is the outcome of a grieved story met with good care. She believed that people are meant to be comforted so that they will be healed.
