Justin Bieber posted several videos on Instagram sharing the gospel message to his millions of followers. Pastor Rich Wilkerson was preaching at Kanye West’s pop-up church, “Sunday service,” in mid-July.
Justin’s first video has had over 2.5 million views with numerous responses from Christians, seekers and people from other faiths. Most of the responses have been positive, but many have said that they have, “mad respect,” for him posting the videos.
Justin Bieber and His Trust in Jesus
Justin wrote, “What would happen if you put your trust in Jesus?”

Pastor Rich said that Sunday service is not a concert, nor a performance. “It’s an old fashioned worship service of Jesus Christ.” Continuing, Rich was saying, “Today if you’re feeling something, understand, it’s not a vibe, and I like the vibe. It’s not an energy, and I like the energy. But what you are sensing is the tangible presense of a living God.”
“It’s not an accident or a coincidence that you showed up here. He brought you here. That is our prayer today. That you would hear from Him today, that you would hear His voice.”
Preaching from John 14 Pastor Rich emphasizes the truth of the gospel message. He said, “Today, I don’t know what kind of trouble you are facing. But Jesus gives you the antidote to your trouble. He says, I am the way, I’m the truth, and I’m the life. This scripture has become very polarizing today in 2019, in America, because people are saying ‘Oh Jesus, he’s so exclusive, He’s keeping people out.’ But I would ask you, is he being exclusive or is he being specific?”
“Jesus isn’t trying to make you feel bad, He’s not trying to exclude you. He said I want to be so specific with you because I love you so much. And I am for you. I want to give you clear-cut directions. Jesus alone is the way, the truth and the life. And we can have companionship with Him.”
You Can Trust in Jesus
- God loves you and wants to transform your life. Ephesians 2:4-6 says, “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved-and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”
- Our sin separates us from God but He still loves you. Romans 3:23 says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” That means that each one of us have done wrong and broken God’s laws and rules. And there is a penalty for breaking God’s laws. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” But there is great news!
- Jesus’ life, death and Resurrection has saved you from punishment if you are willing to accept His love, believing in Him! John 3:16-17 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.” Out of love for us Jesus took the punishment for our sinful wrongdoing upon Himself on the Cross. He has rescued us and made a place for us with Him in Heaven! So now, what can you do?
- Walk away from your sin, asking Jesus to forgive you! Acts 2:38 gives us a step in committing our life to Jesus, saying, “Repent.” This simply means walking away from your sin, bad habits and wrongdoing, changing your mind and agreeing with God’s Word you will follow Him. Some things start changing immediately. But don’t be discouraged if you slip. You will also change as you grow daily in knowing Him as Lord and King of your life.
