The Human Mind
What a person sees becomes a thought, and the thought becomes a mindset. This mindset then influences the choices they make in life. This is an important truth that people should be aware of. Perhaps this is why the author of Proverbs 4:23 said, “Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.”

The human mind is an incredibly powerful tool, much more than anyone could ever imagine. In a message delivered by Pastor Jimmy Belloso from the ‘Walking With Jesus’ church, he emphasized the significance of renewing one’s mind through the teachings of God’s Word. Pastor Belloso explained that if people continue to dwell on their old patterns of thinking, they might miss out on the blessings that God has in store for them.

He wrote in the caption of his Instagram post: “It’s time to Renew our minds. We can only achieve that by removing the old and placing in the new. The key to that is daily renewing our mind with the Word of God.”

In a short clip from his sermon, Pastor Jimmy explained the potential outcome of a believer with an unrenewed mind.
“God can put the right person in front of you and you’ll still reject it,” he said. “God will put the right opportunities for you and you will still reject them. Because you haven’t renewed your mind yet. You’re still thinking about the patterns of back then, and you’re not renewing with the new things that God wants you to do, and He’s placed in front of you.”
“Sometimes, we’re looking for the blessing when the blessing is looking for you. But you can’t see it because your thoughts of doubt and insecurities are blinding the blessing.”
