How many times have we heard people say, “Oh, that boy was born rotten and he was destined for jail”? Well, Jesus was not born rotten by any means, but He was destined to die for us. Jesus came to earth on a mission to introduce the Kingdom of God, to teach us that we have authority over evil, to set us free from the oppression of the enemy, to demonstrate the Father’s love, and most importantly, to lead us into salvation.
Jesus came to earth, modestly. Born, basically in a cattle stall, unannounced but to a very few. He grew and lived a very simple life with no frills and no luxuries, knowing His fate. Matthew 26:38 says, “Then he said to them, ‘My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death; stay here and keep watch with me.” But for the love He has for you and me, He fulfilled His mission. His love so surpasses our understanding that we can’t fathom the depth of it. That’s why we have no problem praising Him. That’s why we count it as a privilege to praise Him, because He is worthy, unlike any other. Hallelujah.

Before Jesus, people had to shed the blood of an innocent animal to be cleansed of their sins. But the one time sacrifice of the innocent Lamb of God did away with this requirement. The Law has been fulfilled by His presence. The shedding of His precious blood eradicated the barrier between us and the Father, and now gives us freedom to enter directly into the throne room of God. He came to set us free and to bring us into God’s Kingdom. Our sweet Lord accomplished His mission of love, and we will shout His message of salvation from the four corners of the earth. How blessed are we, and how glorious is He?
Lord, I just thank you for the love that’s so overwhelming, God, that you would do what you did for each and every one of us, Lord, not only the people of 2000 years ago at that time when you walked the earth, but for us as well and everyone into the future. What a wonderful, courageous act, Lord, that we can’t praise you and thank you enough for. We love you. We thank you for the beautiful life you’ve given us. Lord, we thank you for all the opportunities that you bring in to the New Covenant, your Kingdom, Lord. We have the privilege of walking into the Father’s chamber, uninhibited. Lord, we thank you and we pray a blessing over each and every person listening to this broadcast. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
