It’s a simple message, but one that changes lives – “Jesus Loves You!” Hollywood A-List actor Chris Pratt discovered this truth for himself and is not ashamed to share this powerful Gospel message with others, even on a T shirt leaving the gym.
It’s encouraging to all believers that Chris, who has found fame and fortune in blockbuster dinosaur movies, is prepared to make such a bold stand for God and admirable that celebrity watchers have shared pictures of him in his ‘Jesus Loves You’ T shirt, far and wide. It seems Just Jared took the photographs, shared them on social media and many websites have re-distributed them.
What a great way for a believer in Jesus to share the Gospel. In this day and age we are often too cautious to share our faith publicly for fear of offending people or just because it may seem inappropriate. However the Bible encourages us to tell people how Jesus has changed our lives. As the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”

The Gospel very simply is that Jesus loves us and came to give us the free gift of salvation. He died on the Cross, shedding His innocent blood so that we who are guilty may be forgiven our sins. It’s called the ‘Divine Exchange’ – He who knew no sin became sin so we could become righteous.
Where do we find ‘Jesus Loves You’ in the Bible?
Jesus is responsible for the greatest act of love the world has ever seen. So it’s clear He loves us, but does it actually say ‘Jesus Loves You’ in the Bible? Not in those exact words, but this truth is evident throughout the New Testament.
The closest scripture is John 15:9 where Jesus says, “As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Abide in My love.”
Also in John 13:34 Jesus says, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”
Jesus spoke these words to His disciples then and they are just as powerful to His disciples today. The truth is God loves all people. He loves them so much that He sent Jesus into the world to save them. Jesus did not come to condemn us but to save us!
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” (John 3:16-18)
Well done to Chris Pratt for baring these key scriptures on his chest for all the world to see. It seems Chris doesn’t miss any opportunity to share his faith. He also made headlines during the recent MTV Awards. “You have a soul. Be careful with it” he said delivering 9 Powerful Life Lessons.
