Jesus is coming again…soon. And He brings good news.
Not a day goes by where we have not heard bad news and what the enemy meant for evil. Let us use this opportunity to increase our faith, be doers of the Word, and see the salvation of God. Above all things, God is good, He answers all our prayers and He is faithful in His infinite character, Power, and Supremacy.
Follow His Lead
The days seem short and time is moving fast, this is the opportunity to read His Word, meditate on His Word and act on His authoritative Word as guide and model for everything in our daily lives. Let us follow the Holy Spirit’s leading to be like Christ in all our ways. This is the time to know who you are in Christ, to know your identity and to walk in agreement with our Father. As believers we are tested all day, at work, at home, in Church, and wherever we may go. Do not be discouraged, these tests give us testimonies which are used to defeat the enemy.

The enemy’s purpose is set and clear, to kill, steal, and to destroy (see John 10:10). Our purpose is set “for the Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the suffering and afflicted. He has sent me to comfort the broken-hearted, to announce liberty to captives, and to open the eyes of the blind.” (Isaiah 61:1) As doers of the Word, it makes the enemy mad, we can see his weaknesses revealed as he attempts to prey on ours.
The enemy hates when we read the Word when we worship, and praise Jesus He hates when we draw close to God, going to Church, knowing Christ. and moving forward in faith. Know this, “and they defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die” (see Revelation 12:11 NLT). Know this, His grace is all we need and God’s power works best in our weaknesses (paraphrased 2 Corinthians 12:9).
Good News: Final Words
I bring Good News, we have the greatest opportunity to fulfill the Great Commission (see Matthew 28:18-20) and to take the Good News to the four corners of the earth. And do not worry, everything is ready, provisions are available and waiting as we step out in faith. As He promised, wherever, you set foot, you will be on land I have given you (see Joshua 1:3). God has good plans for our futures. He wants to take care of us, for He created us.
Finally, we need to rely upon and trust Him. Trust His authoritative Living Word, for it is the power of salvation that never fails. For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. Furthermore, it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes – the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight. We do this start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” (Romans 1:16-17 NLT)
