Dr. Golan is an Israeli professor and the way he found Jesus to be the Messiah was extraordinary.
Israeli Professor Was Considered A Failure
Dr. Golan came to the conclusion that the New Testament was the most logical and natural continuation of the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) while he was studying in a Yeshiva.
“I was born and raised in a kibbutz. No truth. No God. But I opened the New Testament for the first time in my life,” he said.
As he read through the book of Matthew, he was shocked at what he found out. “I was shocked, but I kept on reading and reading,” he said.
But he knew there wold be consequences for believing in Jesus. When others found out that he was studying the New Testament, he was called a failure.

“A member of the kibbutz stood up in front of everyone in the community and said, “Golan, we failed in our education because of you.” The whole kibbutz failed in its education because of me, because I believe,” Dr. Golan said.
Israeli Professor Receives The Truth
“But I’ll tell you what happened to Danny, another friend in the kibbutz. When he returned as an Indian monk from India, all the kibbutz clapped and said, “Oh, he’s so spiritual. How wonderful.” But when I embraced the Messiah of Israel, they said, “We failed in our education, Golan. You failed us.” I failed the whole kibbutz because of this faith,” he added.
But even though he knew what the consequences were, he still continued his search.
“The challenge is, like for me, to read the New Testament for the first time…. I’m having the Talmud, the Oral Law, on one hand and the New Testament on the other hand. And I’m thinking, what a minute, these are two Judaisms, and each one of them is claiming the truth,” he said.
Israeli Professor Experiences Life With Jesus
He continued, “And I’m sure it’s an anti-Semitic recipe for how to kill Jews and stay alive. I’m opening the gospel of Matthew and I’m shocked. Because the first line states, this is the dynasty. The dynasty of Yeshua, the Son of David, the son of Abraham. And I’m like, “Are you kidding me?”
“And I’m thinking, “Is this the New Testament? This is nothing like what I thought was the New Testament. No anti-Semitism, no pope, no Catholicism. It’s just witnessing the resurrection of Yeshua and the life of Yeshua. And by the conviction of the Holy Spirit, for the first time in my life, I knew I was reading the Truth,” he said.
He confessed that he didn’t expect to meet God on his journey.
“I never expected it. I never looked for God; He was looking for me,” he concluded.
Today, Dr. Golan Broshi is a professor at the One For Israel Bible College. After putting his faith in Yeshua, he devoted his life to following and glorifying Him.
