A social media influencer hits 12 million likes on TikTok after reading Bible verses contents to people on the platform. Testimonies reveal how it powerfully impacted “people who don’t read the Bible.”
Influencer Reaches 12 Millions TikTok Likes
Destiny Albritton is one of the Christian influencers on the platform Gen Z is fond of—TikTok. She leads people to God by sharing Bible verses. And now, her TikTok account @destinythewonderful has more than 600,000 followers, and over 12 million user likes. Her branding of videos reading underlined verses from her Bible had spoken to millions.

“My hope for my TikTok Bible readings is that people wouldn’t be intimidated by Scripture,” she explained. “That they would … realize that the Bible is for them and written to them and they can make it part of their daily lives because God’s Word is for us and God is for us.”
How It Started
Apparently, Destiny started sharing content from the Bible when the pandemic happened in 2020.
“There was so much fear and social media was full of so much anxiety, panic and bad news,” she recalled. “But I was personally reading Psalm 91 over myself and my family and it gave me a lot of peace.”
As a result, she shared Psalm 91 in her Instagram story, which surprisingly received many positive responses.
“People who don’t read the Bible as their regular routine were telling me how much peace they got from me just sharing those scriptures,” she added.
So, the influencer immediately took “excerpts from her daily Bible reading to TikTok in 15-second videos.” Then her first post went viral.

Simple Video Contents
It shocked Destiny because they were just simple video clips.
“The videos themselves are just the page of the Bible and my finger following along as my voice is reading the description,” she explained. “It’s very simple. It’s just Scripture. It isn’t me. It’s just God’s Word. And people loved it and people connected with it.”
One of her viral videos includes Psalm 31:14-16 with over two million views and Proverbs 5:15 with over six million views.
