Our Journeys To Earth
It takes approximately 9 months for your spirit to develop a physical body. This is the only way to successfully enter into this earthly realm. The pain and suffering of labor pains in a woman about to give birth is a sign of what awaits one upon entry. Every human who enters this world inherits the nature of good and evil (see Genesis 3:22). The beauty of each of our journeys is that God provides help in our choices. The Bible and the internal moral compass which comes standard with every human are the tools we need to navigate through life on earth.
No-one knows what to expect of the newly created human. Every human is blessed with gifts that need to develop and bring glory to the One it originates from. A birthday signals the start of a life of discovery here on planet earth. The process of discovery is filled with highs and lows, constantly nudging us to choose good over evil and worship of our heavenly Father.
From Earth To Heaven
The inevitability of physical death leads us to question the meaning and purpose of life; “Where did I come from?”, “Why am I here?” and “Where am I going?” We don’t have a choice about our journey to earth, but the freedom to choose right from wrong which leads to death or life in the spirit. The mention of death scares most people. When you believe that Jesus has conquered death, you can enjoy the peace which only comes from faith. Your journey will be a physical death but your spirit will live on to be with Jesus.
Romans 6:8 says, “Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall live with Him, knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death has no further dominion over Him.”
The choices you make on earth will determine where your final destination leads you after death. The Bible tells us that there is only one way to the Father and that is through Jesus Christ. You have to “die” to self through repentance and accept life through Jesus Christ. The journey on earth then becomes meaningful.
