How can we become convinced that God is good?
We all know that troubles will come and go, over and again in our lifetime. But without having a foundation to stand on when those trials come, we will be controlled by the circumstance and left feeling confused.
Faith is a powerful gift and choice is a powerful tool. When we partner our mindsets to the truth of the Word of God, we become unshakable. Your core values as an individual determine what you will believe in any given circumstance. You have to know what you believe so that you can have something to hold onto when times get tough.
“But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.” (James 1:6)
We know from the Word of God that our Heavenly Father is faithful, kind, gracious and oh so loving. When God says that He is going to do something – He does it!
God is good
Take Moses for example. God spoke to Moses and gave him a seemingly impossible task and a word that was so audacious that he was actually afraid to step into it. And however impossible that word from the Lord seemed to be, God followed through. On top of that, God was not just doing this for the sake of showing Moses that He is the God of the impossible, but He was fulfilling His promise to His chosen people – the Israelites.
Even when things seem out of place and it feels like God isn’t moving, He is! And He isn’t just moving on your behalf alone, but on the generations before and after you. I encourage those of you who struggle to find stability in their faith to take this course, God is Good presented by Bill Johnson of Bethel Church, Redding.
Bill Johnson is a fifth generation pastor with a rich heritage in the things of the Spirit. The Bethel apostolic network has crossed denominational lines in building relationships that enable church leaders to walk in both purity and power. The present move of God has brought Bill into a deeper understanding of the phrase, “on earth as it is in Heaven.”
