A homeless man testified how Jesus gave him hope after having suicidal thoughts and saved him from drug addiction on GOD TV.

Orry shared his hope story on GOD TV. Before he met Jesus, he was living in his car and struggling with drug addiction. He grew up in a good home with his parents and brothers. But sadly, at the age of six, his father took his own life. “Upon returning to school, I see my friends which some of them bullied me, saying ‘Haha! Your dad’s dead you don’t have a dad.’ From that point that hit me. I knew things weren’t going to be the same,” he recalled. In his early teens, he started drinking, and he noticed that he had so much anger. Part of it is because of the truth that he grew up without a father.
Furthermore, at the age of 18, he was facing 10 years of imprisonment with assault charges. Meanwhile, he was also struggling with a drug addiction. “Everything went downhill, become homeless. Um, you know, I was turning against my family. I’d walked away from good friends. Um, right up to the point where I had no hope left in me,” he shared.
After that, he reached out for help and went to the doctor. He needed to take medication and got caught up in the mental health system. He tried to move to different places to reset his life, but he ended up in the same spot. That’s when he decided to go back to his family, and Jesus made way for him.

Jesus Gave Him Hope
His brother invited him to church, and his cousin from America told him that Jesus could help him. “She chatted with me. Um asked what was going on and I share it openly. And she goes, Jesus can help. And I was like, I’m in. Let’s go to church. Went to church. Um, gave my life to the Lord,” he mentioned.
Moreover, he shared a particular event in his life when he didn’t want to live anymore. While he was in his car, he had suicidal thoughts. “My dad took his own life, um, there’s no hope left in me. I should do the same thing,” he said. He already had a plan, but then suddenly, he remembered what his cousin told him about Jesus.
“I just cried out, I said…if you are real, reveal yourself to me, Lord. I gave my life to you, I need help, I can’t do this alone,” he highlighted. Then, he listened to the radio and landed at a station. He heard a song played at the church when he gave his life to Jesus. Right then, he felt that a big burden was lifted off him. He broke down in tears and realized that God was there.
After that wonderful encounter, he reached out to a church, and his life slowly changed. God gave him a job and a place to live. “I have hope for a good future. And I just love learning more about Jesus and sharing Him. So now, life, there is hope, and yeah, the sad days are gone, and the past is behind me,” he testified.
