Today’s Verse:
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2-4
Today’s Message:
Today, God wants you to know that your pain has a purpose. Pain and trials are ever-present in one’s life. As long as we’re still here on earth, we cannot escape pain.
When we received Christ, it doesn’t mean we entered a worry-free life. As Christians, we were not only called to receive the adoption as children of God through Jesus. But, we were also called to partake in His sufferings. As Romans 8:17 says, “Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”

However, the Word of God has encouraged us not to run away from them, rather embrace them. But what do we do during suffering? We fix our eyes on Jesus. There is no other way.
When Jesus was lashed then hanged to die, He remained steadfast; because He set the joy before Him. In the same way, we have to see what lies ahead. Because the truth is, every story ends with ‘Jesus wins.’ Take comfort in that.
