Today’s Verse:
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
Today’ Message:
The Lord does not look at our outward appearances, including our achievements, wealth, and even ministry. More than what we can do for God, He is more concerned with all the things in our hearts.
Jesus made this clear when He was doing His ministry here on earth. He was not impressed with the knowledge of the Pharisees and the Scribes. He looks at the heart. He said, “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.” (Matthew 15:8)
So today, check your heart. Open your heart to God and allow Him to teach you things that you need to do to realign your heart back to Him.
