“Therefore, let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that led to death, and of faith in God.” Hebrews 6:1
Today’s Message:
Today, God wants you to know that he intends that you increase in knowledge, faith, and maturity in the Lord.
The acceptance of Christ is the first step of your spiritual journey. And in this journey, there is progress and growth.
Tim Peterson said, “God loves you just the way you are. But He loves you too much to keep you that way. He cleans the fish He catches.”
We are called to love God and love people. And admittedly, there are things that we find in our lives that hinder us from achieving this goal.
We may fall short in loving people because there are really people difficult to love. We may fall short in loving God because sometimes we put other things first rather than God.
But, this is where the Holy Spirit steps in. He guides and empowers us to become like Jesus, the perfect model who loves God and people.
Our aim should not be becoming who we are because we fail. However, we aim to become more like Jesus.
As Ephesians 5:1-2 says, “Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave HImself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.”
So, I urge you, brother, or sister in Christ, to grow more in the Lord.
