“All praises belong to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For He is the Father of tender mercy and the God of endless comfort. He always comes alongside us to comfort us in every suffering so that we can come alongside those who are in any painful trial. We can bring them this same comfort that God has poured out upon us.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Today’s Message:
Paul began his letter to the Corinthians with profound praise for God. Amid his afflictions, he experienced the comfort and mercy of God. And because of this, he urged the fellow believers that the God who comforted him would also strengthen the church during trials and persecutions.
We must understand that the comfort God gives is not a temporary relief from pain. But, it brings strength and encouragement. It provides us rest and confidence in His Presence, delivering us from striving in our own effort.
