“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
When you allow fear to enter into your heart it will inhibit your God-Given Purpose. God has not given you the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. God created you with a Purpose in mind. He designed you to give Him Glory in every area of your life. Let your light shine in the community, in your home, in business, in government – wherever God has placed you and planted you, He is with you and will cause you to flourish – stay connected to Him. God will give you strength to endure, overcome and conquer every trial, test and fiery dart the enemy tries to throw your way. In Christ, you are not defeated, you have power to be victorious in every area of your life. My brother, God has not given you the spirit of fear – He has given you the authority and power to lead, dominate and live out the Purpose that He has ordained for you.
“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:8)
When you have a double mind, everything around you becomes unstable. Your emotions waiver to and fro, your finances shift up and down, your spiritual and prayer life becomes inconsistent, worry and anxiety consumes you, filling your mind, taking a toll on your body. Choose Christ. Allow His Word to stabilize you. Submit to His Word and He’ll guide your Heart. Stability starts with Christ. Begin with setting up a systematic prayer life and break the cycle of double mindedness. When you allow the cares of life to lord over you, they entangle you and weigh you down – setting you up for failure.
When you choose to allow your cares to triumph over God’s Word, you’re choosing to idolize your cares and lusts over God, dethroning Him off of the throne of your heart. Choose to serve God and not the entanglements of this world. “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:” (Matthew 7:24)
God has not given you the spirit of fear but He has given you power through His Word to conquer and overcome every circumstance and situation of life. God will lead you through the storm. He saw the storm before it approached your home. Your storms are not bigger than God. When the waves form God has given us the Power to Command them to cease. Your storms cannot conquer God’s Word. When you are in Christ, He’ll lead you and protect you through every storm of life. Choose to build your house on rock – God’s Word. When you choose to feed and build your family on anything other than God’s Word, you’re choosing to self sabotage your home’s spiritual foundation now and for generations to come.
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5 KJV
It’s time to produce fruit – God’s Fruit. When you are in Christ He’ll lead your life. He’ll guide you in every area. No matter the situation that you may face, God will allow you to produce fruit to feed and nourish others when you are connected to Him. Stay connected to God and He’ll lead you down a path that’s fruitful. His success is greater than our orchestrated and manufactured success. God will cause you to produce much fruit as you stay connected to the True Vine. Without God – you’ll wither. Stay in His Presence and you’ll stay fruitful.
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalms 91:1)
Rest in God’s secret place. Allow God’s Word to shield you from the fiery darts of the enemy. Allow Him to shield you from the waves of life. Allow God’s Word to comfort you from the stress, cares and entanglements of this world. Allow God to lead you when things are going astray; allow God’s Word to course correct your path. Allow your heart and your words to align with His Word. Pray and stay in His presence and He’ll lead and guide your heart’s path. When your heart belongs to Him, He’ll make you new. In Him you are a new creature. Dwell in His Presence and He’ll make you new. Stay connected to The Vine – The True Vine.
