A woman tormented by the generational curse of alcoholism was delivered in Jesus’ name.
Generational Curse
Alexis has been battling with alcohol addiction for years. It has been a generational curse in their family as her father and grandfather have also dealt with the same curse. Her addiction became an open door for the enemy to enter her life and torment her.
“I feel like the enemy has tried to keep me in that bondage. The alcohol led me to hold on to a lot of anger that I was keeping inside instead of giving it to the Lord. It led me to harm myself, it led me to depression, and it led me even sexual lust,” she recalled.

Alcoholism
During one church service, she asked the minister to pray over her for deliverance. While she was being prayed over, the demons inside her manifested. Alexis felt a lot of anger and there was heat consuming her entire body. All that she could see was pitch black. But after being delivered, her entire life changed!
“I came and I felt emotionless… empty. And then afterward, I felt like a kid again, smiley, bubbly, laughy… I felt like Alexis again,” she testified.
Delivered
Alexis ended her testimony by encouraging those who have been battling with curses in their lives to surrender to Jesus.
“Don’t feel ashamed, don’t feel embarrassed, don’t feel like you’re not worthy enough to get that help… Don’t wait for another two years, three years, by the time 10 years pass by and you could have had that fulfillment of that joy and that peace… Just feeling the Holy Ghost make you bring out the person that He called you to be.”
