A garbage truck driver secretly dropped a gift on the porch for a child who greets him every trash day.
Aiden Loves Trucks
Two-year-old, Aiden, has an incredible love for all big trucks. He loves monster trucks, tractor-trailers, 18-wheelers, and garbage trucks. He can even identify the differences between each truck and tell you each truck’s specific job.
So there is no wonder he gets extremely excited every Tuesday and Friday morning when the garbage truck arrives. The little boy from Quail Valley North, Missouri City, screams at the top of his lungs as he sees the truck approaching.

Aiden almost never misses a chance to say “hello” to the garbage truck driver. The little boy goes outside and frantically waves every time he sees him.
“He always honks, and Aiden gets so excited,” Aiden’s mom Rachel said. “He knows the sound.”
Mystery Gift
On Christmas Eve, which happened to be a Tuesday, Aiden missed saying hello to the garbage man as he was not dressed yet. Little did the family know that the garbage man stopped at their home and secretly placed a gift for Aiden on their porch.
When Rachel discovered the gift, she thought it was from Amazon or a neighbor. Saul Luera, Aiden’s father, decided to check the footage on their home’s camera to find out who left the gift.
“He had to watch it twice,” Rachel said.
Garbage Truck Driver’s Gift
The family discovered that the garbage truck driver left the present.
“I don’t even know the man’s name, but I think it’s really sweet that he thought of (Aiden) for Christmas,” she said. “We’re just so appreciative. People are so caught up with their own stuff during the holidays, it just means the world.”
Saul shared the story on Facebook, expressing his thanksgiving to the man.
“And today out of nowhere, this kind man left (Aiden) a present,” Luera said. “All is not lost in this world and in my profession, I don’t see a lot of acts of kindness like this. But I want to wish this man and his family a Merry Christmas. Thank you for this gift you left my little one. May God bless you.”
On December 26, they discovered that the garbage truck driver was Jose Pleites, and an employee of WCA Waste Corporation for 8 years. Aiden’s family decided to return Jose’s kindness by making him Christmas cookies.
