What radio station has your mind been tuned into lately? Become aware of the voice you listen to, and develop the self-control to turn it up, on, or even off. As you navigate life, you may find that your mind is more often tuned into other’s opinions of your choices than God’s.
The Father’s Voice is the Most Important One in Your Life
God loves to guide you. In his presence, you get access to a life of limitless joy, peace, and love. From this confidence, you can live in the freedom He died to give you. While your family, friends, and peers voices can have a valuable say in your life, it is the Father’s which ultimately leads you to freedom. Not only is God your Father and friend, He knows you better than anyone else. God is the most trustworthy source that speaks into your life.
Freedom Begets Freedom
Live in confident hope with the Father, trusting where He takes you. In this, you will find that feedback from those around you doesn’t impact you as before. You will begin to lead those in your life to trust in God’s thoughts about them, rather than anyone else’s.

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
Meditate on that scripture in the moments when you hear other’s opinions of you playing louder than God’s.
The expectations of the world are large and overwhelming. They demand accomplishment. They demand self-created timelines and checklists. God yearns for relationship. He keeps no record of wrong. The world remembers your flaws, expecting you to overcome them with pretend perfection and false pretenses of freedom. God provides the only true version of it.
