A former psychic who is now a believer in Jesus tells Christians what they need to know about the practice of yoga.
Former psychic
Yoga is a form of exercise for the body and mind, and it involves physical poses while relaxing the mind. Although it may sound harmless, Jenn Nizza, an ex-psychic, warns that yoga is more than that.
“Yoga is a Hindu spiritual practice,” she told CBN News’s Faithwire. “And the word ‘yoga’ is rooted in Sanskrit. It means ‘to yoke to’ or ‘to unite with’ what they’re doing. They have deliberate postures that are paying tribute, honor, and worship to their false gods, and they have over 330,000,000 false gods, which are demons, and they’re honoring them with these postures.”

“You’re opening demonic doors by practicing yoga,” she added. “Because those postures that you’re doing are worshiping other little ‘g’ gods, not the one true God.”
Jenn believes that yoga is a form of worship to the Hindu gods. Thus, she emphasized that Christians should not involve themselves in the practice. “We should only, as Christians, be concerned with being sealed with the Holy Spirit,” she said.
Yoga inside the Christian community
There have been arguments inside the Christian community about yoga. Subsequently, many people claim that participating in it does not equal participating in its religious aspects. To this, Jenn referred to Jeremiah 17:9.
“The heart is deceptive. So, it’s not like you can take yoga and blast worship music and cry out to Jesus, or you say you’re praying while you’re doing these exercises. You can’t do that.”
“You wouldn’t put Scripture on an Ouija board and think that it’s OK to do it, would you?”
Jenn, when she was a psychic, communicated with what she thought were the dead loved ones of her clients. And yoga reinforced her open line to the demons. “I used to do yoga ritualistically,” she explained. “And the meditation aspect really opened me up and helped me to receive communication from evil spirits.”
