Former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo says that the foundation of her relationship with NFL star Christian McCaffrey is God.
Former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo
Olivia Culpo won Miss Rhode Island at the age of 19 in 2012 and later won the titles of Miss USA and Miss Universe that same year. She said during those times that her “life changed overnight” as her followers on social media grew to millions. Today, the former Miss Universe is sharing with her fans the importance of having God at the center of a relationship.
“The Culpo Sisters” star has been dating the San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey for three years. During the series premiere last month Olivia opened up about their relationship. She shared how their dating has been “rooted in God” and that prayer has been an important part of their lives.
“I would say our relationship is definitely rooted in God, and that’s really important to both of us,” Olivia said in the episode TLC aired on Nov. 7. “And even if we are having hard times, one of the things that we do is we pray about it.”
Rooted in God
In a recent interview with Fox News, the 30-year-old model also emphasized that God has been the foundation of their relationship.
“The foundation of our relationship has always been God,” she shared. “And I feel like when things are hard or when you’re both overwhelmed [and] there’s not a ton that you can give to each other, you can always rely on God. So I feel like if the foundation is there if there’s a foundation of that in any relationship, it is incredibly helpful. Sometimes you just need help with any relationship. … That’s not only like with friendships. It’s with everything. I think it’s important to be faith-based, truly.”
Olivia Culpo was born and raised as a Christian in Cranston, Rhode Island. She has two older siblings, Pete and Aurora, and two younger siblings, Gus and Sophia. Two of her sisters co-star with her in the TLC series. We’ll learn more about the former Miss Universe and her relationship with God on “The Culpo Sisters” show.
